REVEALED: Inside Ronaldo's Madrid mansion

The Real Madrid star has given a 'Cribs'-type walk through of his house ahead of Christmas, showing off his branded door, leopard duvet cover and festive decorations

Ever wanted to know how the rich and famous live? Well, Cristiano Ronaldo has opened the 'CR'-branded door to give us a tour of his home ahead of Christmas.

Starting with the aforementioned porch - which we assume the signage is purely for the benefit of the local postman - we are told the mansion, based in the Madrid town of La Finca Villa and worth a reported €5.4 million (£3.9m), is perfect for the three-time Ballon d'Or winner.

As Ronaldo enters the master bedroom, complete with a leopard bedspread, the 30-year-old says: "I spend nearly half a day [in bed], because, you know, to perform good, to be at a good level, you have to rest good. So I'm always resting."

We move into the kitchen and Ronaldo details his diet before adding a reference to his impressive physique: "My chefs cook unbelieveably well for me, which is why I look like this." Good to know.

The Real Madrid forward says he spends half a day asleep to ensure he is in peak physical condition, in a rare insight into his private life and family home

The Portuguese superstar invited cameras into his home for a rare glimpse into his private life, and, despite the giant plasma TV screen that adorns the living room wall or the giant ornate dining room table, it was his bedroom that he ranked as the most important part of his house.

No, not because of all the supermodels he brings back there – quite the opposite, in fact. Ronaldo actually explained that he sleeps nearly 12 hours a day in order to be in the best physical condition.

“My [bed]room is one of the most important things in my life. I need to rest good, so this is where I sleep,” the Portuguese attacker explained.

“I spend nearly half a day [in bed], because, you know, to perform good, to be at a good level, you have to rest good. So I’m always resting.”

Ronaldo has certainly made his bedroom something worth spending a lot of time in, with the huge mattress covered, not unsurprisingly, in a leopard print duvet.

The 30-year-old’s bedroom looks out onto his garden – which is currently adorned with a plastic Father Christmas and lights – while he also has a giant fish tank installed.
