Ifeanyi Ubah players forced to receive 2 months' pay

It has been gathered that the players of FC IfeanyiUbah are being forced to forfeit at least two months’ salary.

The players are owed four months’ salary but they have been ordered to agree to receive two months’ pay and sign an undertaken that the club are no longer indebted to them, one of the affected players has exposed.

"We are being owned four months’ salary excluding December and they are paying two months to players after signing agreement that they are not owing us any more money, in fact some were paid less than two months’ salary,” revealed the player.

“The agreement must be signed before you are paid. I thought it was a joke when some of my teammates told me until I got to the office and the same happened to me."

Part of the content of the letter read in part: “Letter of acknowledgement - I, Mr (player's name) acknowledged

that the money paid to me by IfeanyiUbah FC is all my entitlement for 2014/15 football season…”
